No shit, sherlock, it's a fucking for-profit system. That 30% is called "profit" and it's fundamental to capitalism. But way to make the article about the cost efficiency of particular treatments and not the fact that providing a service needed by everyone in a haphazard, profiteering fashion results in worse health outcomes and higher costs.
